fingerprint authentication secure technology
|
| Player Verification is
well-known in the gaming field as a feature that prevents unauthorized
individuals, such as under-aged persons, from placing wagers. |
| A typical gaming system includes a play station with
at least one game-playing actuator for placing a wager such as “Bet,” “Bet Max,”
“Deal,” “Draw,” “Spin,” or the like. |
| This actuator can be either a touch screen or
button. A fingerprint verifier is integrated with the game-playing actuator.
Each time the player wishes to activate the game-playing actuator and place a
wager, the fingerprint verifier must read and verify their fingerprint. The
verification compares the fingerprint of the player at the time of play to the
player’s previously read and stored authorized fingerprint. If the verification
is successful and the fingerprint matches, the game-playing actuator is
activated and the wager is placed. If the verification is unsuccessful the
game-playing actuator is not activated, the wager can not be placed, and an
alarm can be triggered. |
| The fingerprint of the player is read several times
during enrollment, in order to obtain an accurate average reading. |
