Online Gaming Systems announces new product
release
|
| Las Vegas, Nevada - March 28, 2002 - Online Gaming Systems Ltd
(Nasdaq: OGAM), a leading provider of casino turnkey solutions, today announced
its release of the Beta version of FIRE (Fully Integrated and Regulated
Environment) its premium casino software product that will complement its ICE
product designed for less-intensive users. |
| The FIRE product has been designed with security, performance,
third party integration and scalability in mind. The java-designed system has
been loaded with controls that comply with operating a casino in a regulated
environment as well as giving the casino operator the flexibility of integrating
with their existing systems. The system has been tested to handle more than
1,000 simultaneous users on a single Game Server and can be scaled up to many
times that figure by utilizing additional Game Servers. |
| FIRE offers its "frictionless" integration support for market
leading Java Application Servers, including BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, Caucho
Resin and Database Servers including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle 8x/9i.
Unlike other Casino software systems, FIRE offers multiple platform support
including Windows 9x, 2000, XP, Solaris and Linux. The software employs open
standards and APIs for integration with other systems and gaming frameworks. The
architecture is built from the ground-up based on Australian Regulatory
requirements using the latest technologies from Java and J2EE camps. The
software also offers data redundancy, offsite remote logging, customized
reporting, and support for multiple client technologies including Shockwave,
Flash, Java and DirectX. |
| In addition, FIRE offers Casino Administration modules, Support
for wireless devices, Certified RNG, multi-tier Security including 128bit SSL,
Support for Leading ECommerce vendors, and Personalization and Content
management modules. |
| "This system was developed over the past 18 months based on
demands from some of the world's foremost gaming and entertainment companies,
and is ideally suited for those seeking to be the dominant players in the
Internet gaming space," said Herman Suarez, Director of Marketing and Sales for
OGS. "We developed the FIRE system using the knowledge and experience that we
obtained while going through the certification process with our ICE product. As
a result, FIRE was created to satisfy not only the needs of those gaming
companies that are looking at operating in an interactive environment, but that
will also meet the most stringent regulatory requirements. FIRE was designed
with the ability to accept large volumes of players, to be secure, and to allow
the easy integration of third party content." |
| The FIRE system has recently gone through initial audit testing
for certification in the Northern Territory of Australia, the world's first
regulated jurisdiction. "Upon the successful completion of the certification
process of the FIRE system, OGS will be the only Internet gaming software
company that has had two entirely different systems certified and approved for
use within Australian jurisdictions. |
| With certification in Australia, the FIRE system can readily
meet current standards of any regulated jurisdiction in the world," added Mr.
Suarez. |
