SYDNEY April 8th
2004 - Online Gaming Systems announces development of the FIRE™ System as a
land-based central gaming network.
Online Gaming Systems (OGS), one of the world’s pre-eminent Internet
Casino software development companies announced today that its fully
certified FIRE™ system will be expanded and developed as a land-based
central gaming network product for Casino’s around the world.
Commenting on this move David Kinsman, OGS CEO said, “The FIRE
System offers land-based Casinos a comprehensive central network product,
un-matched by any other system supplier in the world today. Not only does
FIRE offer facilities like gaming machine monitoring, player tracking, CRM,
membership database, it also includes full Jackpot controllers, offering
both random and progressive jackpot facilities, but as well, it provides a
server based gaming function, able to deliver games to terminals throughout
any site, in any format.”
FIRE gives any site the opportunity to replace a number of different
IT based gaming systems needed to provide the full range of services in any
Casino operation, and combines them all into one modern and simple platform
which offers the ability of multiple outlet operators to run the IT gaming
services and operation on a wide area basis as well. FIRE can operate on a
number of different platforms e.g., Microsoft, UNIX and Linux using Oracle
or SQL Server as the database operating system. It has the ability to
interface with “third party” facilities like hand-held units, Interactive
TV, the Internet, mobile phones etc, and can integrate with any existing
Casino systems and enhance their operation.
“FIRE land-based central network is very economical to install as
well,” said Kinsman. ”It is designed to utilize existing hardware in many
cases, and can offer all of its functions or share functionality with
existing Casino systems, if that is preferred by the operator concerned”.
Due to its unique mix of full functionality, OGS will be concentrating
the initial launch of the FIRE land-based system towards Casino operators
with multiple outlets. “Given FIRE’s ability to operate as both a LAN and
WAN, we see a distinct opportunity for multiple site operators who can
centrally control and monitor a series of Casinos from their Head Office ,
yet at the same time provide each site with a complete gaming system which
offers individual facilities etc.
From a regulatory point of view FIRE has been designed to comply with all
regulatory and technical standards in recognized Casino jurisdictions
around the world”, Kinsman went on.
At the time of this release OGS is understood the be “in discussion”
with a number of multi-site Casino operators in various parts of the world,
with a plan for the first system order to be completed during the third or
fourth quarter of 2004.
