Lasseters launches new online casino site

Australian online casino operator, Lasseters Corporation Ltd, today announced the

launch of a new regulated online casino, aussienugget.com.au.

Speaking at the company’s Annual General Meeting today, Lasseters Corporation

Managing Director, Peter Bridge, said the site would initially be used to allow players to

 trial new high-technology games.

The games have been produced as a result of a contract with advanced gaming

software entity Online Gaming Systems (OGS) which produces the leading-edge FIRE

 software.

Lasseters Corporation announced the OGS contract in July and has moved quickly to

launch the Aussie Nugget games which are among the most advanced in international

 online gaming.

“Aussie Nugget is now live to invited users for points and cash play,” Mr Bridge said.

“This is an exciting innovation for Lasseters. We now have two sites – lasseters.com.au

and aussienugget.com.au. Lasseters Online will continue to offer our traditional range of

casino games while Aussie Nugget will feature games enhanced with the latest

 technology now on offer.”

Mr Bridge said the new FIRE technology would soon be incorporated into the

 lasseters.com site.

A program has begun to introduce players to the Aussie Nugget site and is anticipated to

be completed by the end of September.

The new site is certified and regulated by the Northern Territory Government through an

extension to Lasseters Corporation’s existing gaming licence.

The site currently offers 16 games including both casino-style table and card games and

a variety of slot, keno and video poker games.

The total number of games available through Lasseters’ two online casinos is 63.

Mr Bridge said Lasseters Corporation was continually upgrading its gaming offer and

recognised a variety of games and the best technology were important in increasing

Lasseters’ appeal in different market sectors.

“Ultimately it will also help increase our market penetration,” he said.

“A major benefit is that it will enable us to soon offer multi-lingual casino sites. This will

vastly improve our offer to the international market place by helping to increase our

share of the non-English speaking markets.

“FIRE also offers several advantages in terms of its ease of use and responsiveness and

it allows us to operate more cost efficiently.”

Lasseters expects to launch its first foreign language site later this year. The site will be

 in Spanish.

“We have researched demand for Internet usage and online gaming in international

markets and found that Spanish language sites have enormous potential,” Mr Bridge

said. “Spanish is one of the world’s most widely used languages. And the potential for

our site is not only in countries where Spanish is the native language but also in the

many other countries where large numbers of residents speak Spanish.”

Mr Bridge said the Spanish site was now in its development and testing phase.
